An election inspector works at the polls during elections. They verify
persons are registered to vote, provide qualified voters with ballots and
perform other duties related to the processing of voters and ballots. The
Township recently received laptop computers for use in processing voters.
Basic computer skills are required to operate the laptops. Election
inspectors are paid $9.00 per hour. They are provided with training, for
which they are paid. There are generally two or three elections in even
numbered years. There may be one or two elections during odd numbered years.
Election inspectors work from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on election days. It
is a long day, but it is a wonderful experience. If you are reliable,
